Employee of the Quarter

Congratulations to Alex Broschat for winning employee of the quarter for Quarter 1, of 2022!

Alex has strong roots in Sitka and Petersburg which makes her truly care about her communities. Alex started at ALPS in 2019 and is currently in the Lead MSR position at our Sitka branch! Our staff voted for her this quarter because she is a team player, gives great customer service, supports her fellow departments, and is very reliable.

Employee of the Quarter

Congratulations to Jami Roberts for earning the Employee of the Quarter award for the first quarter of 2021!

Jami joined our team in November 2018, as our Electronic Services Specialist serving all of your debit card, transaction dispute, and ACH payment processing needs! In re-cent months, she has stepped up to manage our Member Services team! She has put training, employee morale, and staff coverage as her focus in this new role.

It is obvious Jami is passionate about serving ALPS members.

Meet Our Staff

Sandi Riggs
CEO/President

Accountable for the overall management of ALPS FCU, typically dealing with long-range issues. This position manages a team of department leads who collaboratively creates goals, while maintaining the credit union's success.

Accounting | Human Resources

Robyn Schlins
Accounting and HR Manager

Responsible for the accounting function, which includes preparing the budget, payroll, and producing all financial reports. This position is also the primary liaison to third party auditors. The Accounting and HR Manager is also a member of the credit union's Asset and Liability Management Committee. The Human Resources manager is responsible for managing employee benefits, staffing, training, and job descriptions, and health and safety concerns for ALPS employees. This position is under the direction of the CEO.

Charles Blake
Accounting Technician

The Accounting Technician is accountable for payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliation for cash accounts at the credit union. This position is under the direction of the Accounting Manager.

Katherine Plummer
Operations Manager

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of credit union services including member online banking, interoffice IT solutions, Eft functions, Products & Services, assistance to our marketing provider, and Bank Secrecy Act compliance. Provides computer support, functioning equipment, and procedures to the front-line staff to provide excellent customer service to our members. This Position is under the direction of the CEO.

Jami Roberts
MSR Supervisor/E-services Specialist

Responsible for supervising our Member Services team & the implementation of employee procedures and training relating to the frontline staff’s job functions. Overseas electronic transfers, our debit card program, and the transaction dispute program for the Credit Union. This position is under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Kelsea Boswell
MSR Intermediate | Collections Representative

Manages the day-to-day activities of all collection-related functions. Handles delinquent loan collections, repayment and workout agreements, bankruptcies, foreclosures, and management of foreclosed assets. Kelsea is also a part of our frontline staff. Our frontline staff is responsible for the day to day care for our membership. This includes managing member accounts, transactions, and providing assistance to our members while using our products & services. Their main goal is provide our membership with exceptional member service.

MSR Entry

Lending

Adrienne Cromwell
Senior Loan Officer

Processes Real Estate and Commercial loans. The Senior Loan Officer also works closely with the CEO to carry out loan department goals, as well as the implementation of new products, and back office functions of the loan department. Our Senior Loan officer provides supervision to all lending staff. This position is under the direction of the CEO.

Efren Arce
Loan Officer

Primarily processes consumer and Real Estate loans. Interviews loan applicants by reviewing the member application and credit report, and assesses all needs of the member. The Loan officer approves loans within defined criteria, and makes recommendations on all others for approval or denial to the Senior Loan officer. The Loan officer is responsible for coordinating loan closings and disclosing terms, payment conditions, dates and methods of repayment. The Loan Officer position is under direct supervision of the Senior Loan Officer.

Christine Galiza
Loan Support Specialist

Performs moderately complex clerical duties related to all credit union loans. Releases titles and documentation relating to loan payoffs, and new loans. Monitors insurance interests for the credit union.

Petersburg Branch

Carynne Evens
Financial Services Representative | MSR Supervisor

Responsible for the day to day operations and functionality for our Petersburg location. Including, but not limited to; Consumer loan processing, marketing, community involvement, Petersburg staff supervision, & audit compliance.
