The Credit Union Difference
Credit unions provide the same financial services as banks, but we pride ourselves on being different. At a credit union, you are an owner, not a customer. Credit unions work to make a positive difference in your financial wellbeing and in the communities we serve.
Credit unions are non-profit
As a non-profit, we return our profits to members in the form of better rates and less fees. By putting your money into the credit union, you are helping your neighbor to be able to borrow funds at lower rates and with less fees than banks offer. Banks are owned privately, so your transactions make the bank owners money, not the customers.
Credit unions are community-minded
We support our local communities by volunteering and donating resources to organizations in need.
Credit unions care about their members
How we care:
- Outstanding Member Service is our goal & your financial success is our priority
- Credit union profit goes to: educational programs for our youth (financial reality fairs), higher dividends, and community donations.
As a member of the credit union you have a say! Our board and supervisory members are voted on by our membership. Please come to our Annual Meeting to learn more about how your vote counts!
